Planning Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to analyze project requirements, resource availability, and constraints to create a comprehensive schedule
- Schedule Development: Create project schedules that outline the sequence of activities, milestones, and dependencies starting from procurement, to assembly, installation, and finally handing over. Allocate resources and estimate the duration for each task, ensuring an efficient and realistic timeline for project execution
- Progress Monitoring: Throughout the project lifecycle, monitor the progress of activities against the planned schedule. Collect data, track milestones, and compare actual progress with the anticipated timeline
- Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project schedules. Identify critical paths, evaluate the impact of delays or changes, and propose alternative solutions to minimize disruptions
- Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication channels with project teams, contractors, procurement, and the assembly lines. Provide regular updates on project status, schedule changes, and potential risks
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate reports, progress summaries, and visual representations of project schedules. Document changes, delays, and modifications, and keep accurate records of project activities. These reports are used to update stakeholders and facilitate decision-making processes
Job Requirements:
- Engineer with min 5 years of related work experience in planning and scheduling both engineering and construction activities
- Knowledgeable of Primavera Enterprise Systems (P6) scheduling technology and how it can be effectively utilized in projects
- Proven ability to perform in a technical role, possess good written and oral communication skills, and have a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
